Yo! MTV Raps was one show everyone stood home to watch

Yo! MTV Raps is on its way back to your tv sets.

DJ Diamond Kuts and renowned battle rapper Conceited, a Brooklyn native who rose to stardom as a recurrent cast member on Nick Cannon’s Wild ‘N Out, will host the next edition of Yo! MTV Raps, which will air in the spring on streaming service Paramount+. MTV Raps first aired on August 6, 1988, and lasted until August 17, 1995, airing 1,830 episodes.

Yo! MTV Raps will include live performances, cyphers, lifestyle material, and other featured pieces that go deep into contemporary hip-hop culture this time around. Conceited and Kuts are “the right duo to add fresh vitality and enthusiasm” to the show’s reemergence, according to Bruce Gillmer, president of music, music talent, programming, and events at Paramount.
