YNW Melly has proclaimed his innocence saying he is being framed.
Jury selection is about to begin for rapper YNW Melly, who is accused of murdering two people.
On October 26th, 2018, rapper Jamell Demons, also known as YNW Melly, and Cortlen Henry were charged with killing Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr. Demons shot both men, according to Miramar police, and say he and Henry organized the murder scene to make it look like a drive-by shooting.
Both victims were budding rappers and Demons’ friends, according to reports. He even took to social media the day after they were shot to express his grief. Both Demons and Henry have been charged with murder in the first degree.
Melly has been taking to social media to say he will be set free soon.
If Melly is convicted, the Broward State Attorney’s Office has stated that he will seek the death penalty.
Melly’s biggest hit was “Murder on My Mind,” which she released in 2018.
