WBC Middleweight Champ Jermall Charlo Arrested In Texas


Jermall Charlo was arrested at his home today.

Charges against the WBC Middleweight Champion Jermall Charlo originate from an alleged incident that occurred on September 21, 2021, in which he is suspected of “punching or grasping” a guy, according to court papers. Medics said the male was hurt during the alleged confrontation. They also claim the guy was a member of Charlo’s “family or home,” according to the report.

We’ve been told by a Fort Bend County Jail official that the 31-year-old was taken into custody at around 1:45 PM CT after a warrant for his arrest was issued by the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office. Jermall was charged with a felony for the assault.

The arresting officer said that Charlo was detained on a felony charge of assaulting a family/household member with a prior conviction, which was confirmed by jail records. Despite the fact that he is still being held in jail, his bail was set at $10,000.
