A Shooting Outside Lil Boosie, Piles Concert Leaves 1 Dead


The concert took place Sunday evening at Arena Theatre in Houston.

When a man was shot outside a concert at Arena Theatre on Sunday, security guards on duty, tried to save him, but despite the guards’ best efforts, the man passed away.


Houston police reported gunfire in the 7300 block of Southwest Freeway, close to Fondren Road, around 11:40 p.m.

As police arrived it appeared the concert at the Arena had not yet ended. The police believe the victim of the shooting was there for the performance. Lil Boosie, Piles, And Lil Keke were performing at the venue. The rappers were safe and still performing inside at the time of the shooting.


With regards to the shooter, the authorities have remained tight-lipped. The police are attempting to piece together what transpired.

“We do have multiple witnesses, but it doesn’t sound like there was a confrontation. Not sure why this happened; there wasn’t even a fight going on “said HPD Lt. J.P. Horelica.


The website for the Arena Theater estimates that it can hold up to 2,800 people.
