RORY K : ARTIST ON THE RISE

Originally from New York City with time spent in Wexford, Ireland, Rory K has emerged onto the scene with a unique sound that blends elements of Hip Hop, R&B, Pop & Punk. He was born into a family of creatives & musicians – clearly evident from his energetic performances & vibrant stage presence.

“When I first got into music I didn’t really know who I was as a person, I just wasn’t very comfortable within my own skin. When you can’t truly connect with the music yourself, you can’t expect other people to. I finally set up my own home studio in 2017, which really allowed me to experiment with my voice and new sounds. My confidence began to rise and everything else started to click. One of my long term goals, actually, is to help the youth build confidence in themselves, because I know from experience that talent is nothing without it.”

You can certainly hear that confidence radiating from Rory K’s new Hip Hop & Pop blended Summer banger “Westside Girl;” it’s accompanied by a unique music video to match the song’s laid back yet danceable sound.

“I’ve done music videos in the past that I liked, but they didn’t have any true direction. I decided that moving forward I’d take a cinematic approach, and for “Westside Girl” I based the treatment off one of my favorite movies “Basic Instinct” which came out in 1992 – a golden era for film. The movie is centered around a beautiful writer whose novels are about men she seduced and later killed. It’s sexy, thrilling, funny & will keep you on the edge of your seat – I wanted that exact vibe for “Westside Girl””

Rory K has plans to release a sequel to his debut Mixtape “Livin’ La Vida Loca” later this summer, along with several new singles spanning Punk Rock, Pop and Hip Hop. His voice is dynamic, his lyrics are witty & funny and we can’t wait to hear what he has in store.
