Hunger Games Prequel Cast: Joseph Zada and Whitney Peak Join Sunrise on the Reaping
Lionsgate has unveiled the leading stars of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, and fans have a lot to be excited about. Joseph Zada and Whitney Peak are stepping into the dystopian spotlight, with Zada portraying a young Coriolanus Snow and Peak taking on the pivotal role of District 12 tribute, Wren.
Directed by Francis Lawrence, the film is set 24 years before Katniss Everdeen volunteered as tribute, diving into the events of the 50th Hunger Games, also known as the Second Quarter Quell. Suzanne Collins, author of the original Hunger Games series, will serve as an executive producer, ensuring the narrative stays true to its roots.

Zada, an up-and-coming talent, brings both charm and complexity to the character of Snow before his rise to power. Peak, known for her standout role in Gossip Girl, adds depth and grit to the character of Wren, promising a dynamic performance that could define the prequel.
Sunrise on the Reaping aims to expand the cinematic universe of Panem by exploring the psychological and political underpinnings of the early Games. Production is slated to begin later this year, with a theatrical release date set for November 20, 2026.
