New Music, New Mondays Still All Quality

A few notable new releases are trending from this past weeks series of releases including names such as Post Malone, Polo G, Arin Ray, and many more artists in a unique, diverse set of dope music drops. At Rap Aechelon we got you covered on our choices for new music that will have your daily rotation of tunes a little more brighter.

Polo G – “Distraction” (Single)

Chicago hitmaker Polo G has released his new single “Distraction” via Columbia Records. Listen HERE. This is the first single from Polo G’s forthcoming and highly anticipated new album due later this summer, produced entirely by Southside. The teaser announcing the track and starring Kai Cenat trended #1 on YouTube amassing over 2.5 million views within a week.  A cinematic new music video also accompanies the release.

J. Fitts – “Letter To Fitts” (Single)

Rising Maryland singer J. Fitts has been making a statement lately with his distinct “R&T” mash up which blends the soulful elements of R&B and trap music to curate authentic sounding music which speaks on the trenches. “Letter To Fitts” his his latest efforts that capture this amazing new sound.

B-Lovee & Coi Leray – “Demon” (Single)

Connecting with Platinum superstar Coi Leray, the 21-year-old Bronx rapper B-Lovee shares “Demon,” his new single. Produced by Fast Life Beats, “Demon” released with a pseudo video, finds Lovee and Coi delivering a hypnotic hook-verse combo providing an illuminating and infectious collaboration. Lakeyah Ft. Latto – “Mind Yo Business” (Single)

Rising Milwaukee-born rapper and Quality Control Music force of nature Lakeyah unleashes a new single and music video entitled “Mind Yo Business” [feat. Latto] via Motown Records today. Listen to it HERE, and watch the music video HERE

On the track, horns pipe up over a propulsive beat as Lakeyah kicks out one bulletproof bar after another with no shortage of flirty fire and finesse. She grins, “I love when they chase me. Good luck if you tryin’ to replace me. Meanwhile, Latto pulls up with an equally hard-hitting cameo laced with lyrical prowess and precision. In the accompanying visual, Lakeyah and Latto take over a hedge maze, practically leaving a trail of flames following an incendiary and show-stopping back-and-forth. 

Lakeyah speaks on collaborating with Latto sharing, “I got the chance to collaborate with one of my favorite new era rap girls! Both the song and the video are fire. I can’t wait for everyone to hear “Mind Yo Business.”

Post Malone – ‘Twelve Carat Toothache’ (LP)

Last week, Post Malone returned with his new album ‘Twelve Carat Toothache.’ Like many pop artists these days, Post’s albums are often quite long, but in the lead-up to Twelve Carat Toothache he wanted to prioritize art of streaming numbers so this project only features under 18 tracks. At the same time, Post historically has written a lot of songs for his albums. No surprise that there are some extras waiting in the wings after Twelve Carat. Roddy Ricch, Doja Cat, The Weeknd, and more are on the LP.

Arin Ray – ‘Hello Poison’ (LP)

Cincinnati’s Arin Ray has been making a name for himself with a beautiful voice and pen game that matches any current music artist worldwide. His latest efforts ‘Hello Poison’ is a diverse LP that showcases his growth sonically and mentally. He also enlists dope artists such as Ari Lennox, VanJess, Ty Dolla $ign, and more on his latest album release. Listen here.

Veeta Venom – “Mission” (Single)

Washington, D.C. native and firecracker Veeta Venom celebrates another birthday with a release of a catchy new single “Mission” that showcases her distinct talent and dope writing abilities. She’s a gem from the DMV that has been making waves recently in Atlanta and New York as well so she’s a must add to your daily rotations. Listen here.

Big Moochie Grape – ‘East Haiti Baby’ (LP)

Big Moochie Grape has East Memphis on his back and a lot to get off his chest. Returning to remind the opposition why the place he comes from is the same they run from, the PRE rising star reps his hometown proudly with his new mixtape, East Haiti Baby, available everywhere now via Paper Route Empire.

Aided by signature Tennessee-style production from BandplaySosa 808Ayoza, and more, the tape chronicles Moochie’s rise from the trap to the top, showcasing the street acumen and sly grin that has him rising in his city and beyond. East Haiti Baby is home to Moochie’s ice-cold singles “I’m The One” and “Never Had Sh*t,” each of which earned over 1 million views on Youtube in recent weeks. Continuing a dominant year for Paper Route Empire as they honor Young Dolph‘s legacy, Moochie enlists Key Glock and Kenny Muney for features, and shares a new verse from Dolph himself on mixtape highlight “Fun.”

 YN Jay – ‘Young Wild & Free’ (LP)

The follow up to the acclaimed 2021 Coochie Chronicles, Young Wild & Free provides a peek into the Beecher, Michigan native’s promiscuous persona. Spanning 15 tracks, the project is an undeniable Michigan rap affair! From production by ENRGY, Marc Boomin, and Wayne616 to guest appearances from Babyface Ray, Rio Da Yung OG, and Louie Ray.

Jay Montana – ‘They Forgot’ (LP)

Jay Montana is Mobile, Alabama’s new savior when it comes to music. Finally, he is back with another mixtape after providing three other quality projects, which include Not A Rapper 2, B4DACHECK, and The Vulture. Superseding what it means to be underground, Montana has a sound that would be considered mainstream by most. He has that signature Bama sound that is full of that Country influence, similar in the vein of others from his city like NoCap or even frequent collaborator Rylo Rodriguez. But his next mixtape, They Forgot,’ should be the project that puts him in the same conversation as his peers, just off the strength of pure talent.
