LeBron James was fully vaccinated before testing positive.
LeBron James revealed this afternoon that he had tested positive for COVID-19. PCR testing was performed to confirm the diagnosis on James when he returned home. However, the results of that test were negative. LeBron was then subjected to a third tie-breaker test, which resulted in a positive result. According to reports, the team has leased a private plane to ensure that Bron may return to Los Angeles in a secure way. We’ve also been informed that James is presently symptom-free. LeBron has received all of his vaccinations.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said on Tuesday that LeBron James has been put under the league’s health and safety procedures and will miss tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings. Per league regulations, he will be prohibited from returning to the team for the following 10 days or unless he submits at least two negative PCR tests before being allowed to rejoin them.
The announcement comes only hours before the Lakers are scheduled to face the Sacramento Kings.
