Kobe Bryant trophy went to Stephen Curry
Vanessa Bryant, Kobe Bryant’s wife, was there at the All-Star Game on Sunday, with Michael Jordan hugging her after the Lakers great was recognized during halftime.
The Black Mamba Kobe Bryant earned a standing ovation in Cleveland when members of the league’s 75th-anniversary squad were honored… and Vanessa was obviously moved as her husband was acknowledged on the scoreboard.
During the celebrations, Vanessa was joined by Michael Jordan, Jerry West, and Lakers GM/longtime Kobe’s agent Rob Pelinka… as #23 walked up and gave her a huge embrace and spoke with her on the field.
Stephen Curry was named the Kobe Bryant All-Star MVP after hitting 16 3-pointers to help Team LeBron defeat Team Durant 163-160.
Jordan and Kobe were close, and the Bulls great even made a touching eulogy at Bryant’s funeral in 2020, so the moment between MJ and Vanessa was extremely emotional for viewers to behold.
The whole evening was memorable as the league’s best were honored… and Kobe was sorely missed.
