Johnny Depp has been a busy man lately.
Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck are teaming up for the upcoming album, ’18.’ The actor and musician have been on the road performing and celebrating the outcome of his defamation trial against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, which resulted in him receiving $15 million in damages.
For the past two years, Depp and Beck have been friends, and they’ve been working on the album since 2019.
In addition to “Depp originals as well as a wide range of covers that touches on everything from Celtic and Motown to the Beach Boys and Killing Joke,” the duo’s cover of John Lennon’s classic “Isolation,” which appears on the LP’s digital and CD versions, has been making appearances at their live shows.
There are 13 tracks on the album, including Johnny Depp’s original track, ‘This Is A Song For Miss Hedy Lamarr,’ which he received permission to release from Hedy Lamarr’s estate before doing so.
As a special guest, Beck has announced a European tour that will culminate on July 25 at Paris’ L’Olympia, with Depp, 59, as the sole performer.
Along with Alice Cooper and Aerosmith’s Joe Perry, Depp’s band The Hollywood Vampires is well-known outside of Hollywood.
