Drake got Bobby Shmurda and Chief Keef as ambassador’s of the new line.
As our new OVO x NBA capsule campaign shows, it seems as if Bobby Shmurda’s hat has finally made it’s way back to Earth from space. The NBA has collaborated with Drake’s October’s Very Own (OVO) brand to create a collection of fall/winter merchandise centered on the legendary New York Knicks.
The first indication of this impending cooperation came in the form of a collection of photos posted on OVO’s Instagram account. In these photographs, we find Brooklyn-based rapper Bobby Shmurda wearing a variety of outfits that include the team’s trademark blue and orange colors.
Bobby finishes off his look with a new era hat, which has OVO’s trademark owl design as well as a basketball accent on the side. In addition to the Knicks’ colors, white accents can be seen beneath the brim of the hat as well as in the team’s emblem on the front.
Another piece of clothing worn by Bobby has many stitched embellishments and is in the manner of a varsity jacket. The iconic New York Knicks emblem, as well as a huge OVO “O” patch on the opposite side, are both featured on the shoe. The team’s history is commemorated underneath the Knicks’ emblem, which has the words “World Champions 1970, 1973.”
All of the OVO x New York Knicks merchandise will be available for purchase on September 29th, and it is an absolute must-have for any Knicks fan. In related developments, Drake debuts the NOCTA x Nike Hot Step Air Terra “Black” in collaboration with Nike. Chief Keef is also on the roster as an ambassador for the OVO x Nike collection.
