Kelvin Joseph hasn’t turned himself in as of yet.
Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph is being sought by Dallas cops in connection with a fatal shooting at a neighborhood pub last month.
On March 18, outside of the OT Tavern in Old East Dallas, Joseph, 21, was allegedly involved in a fight moments before 20-year-old Cameron Ray was shot at 2 a.m. Ray whose photo is below was transported to a hospital where he subsequently died.
Officials with the Cowboys have urged Joseph to come forward, although they do not believe he is the shooter. Joseph is also a rapper who goes by the moniker ‘YKDV Bossman Fat.’ ‘You know da vibe,’ according to the urban dictionary.
The rap moniker is relevant because on March 18, a man wearing a sweatshirt with a medallion saying ‘YKDV’ was spotted standing with a group of men outside the OT Tavern on security footage.
Prior to the shooting, that same gang was involved in a brawl with Ray and his pals. Surveillance video captures a man smoking as he passes Ray and his companions. After some verbal sparring, the smoking man finally delivers the first punch.
According to investigators, Ray was in Dallas with three buddies that weekend last month. Ray’s crew was returning to their vehicle after the brief battle when they were shot at by a black SUV going down the street. The shooter is still on the loose.
