Celine Dion uploaded a video message for her fans explaining her health issues.
Following the recent discovery of a rare neurological disease that prevents her from singing Celine Dion announced the cancellation and rescheduling of her upcoming European tour.

Celine announced that she has stiff-person syndrome (SPS) resembles an autoimmune disease. SPS is characterized by varying levels of muscle rigidity in the trunk and limbs as well as an increased sensitivity to stimuli including noise, touch, and emotional distress that can cause muscle spasms.
The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke describes stiff-person syndrome as “an uncommon, progressive illness that affects the neurological system, specifically the brain and spinal cord.” According to the institute, symptoms can include severe muscle stiffness, rigidity, and painful spasms in the trunk and limbs. “Spasms that have the power to shatter bones,”
There is a treatment that can maintain the disorder but can not cure it. Dion’s spring 2023 shows will be rescheduled to 2024, and eight summer 2023 will be canceled. See the video of Celine’s message below.
