Cain Velasquez was arrested in California
Cain Velasquez, the legendary UFC fighter, has gotten himself into problems with the police. The 39-year-old has been detained and jailed on a charge of attempted murder.
There are currently no details available on the facts of his arrest, however, law enforcement officials have said that the former boxer was engaged in a gunshot in San Jose at approximately 3 p.m. near a local high school.
The claimed encounter resulted in the shooting of one individual and the detention of another. There has been no more information revealed about the circumstances surrounding the scenario. According to jail records, Velasquez was still in prison as of Tuesday morning and has been scheduled for a court appearance on Wednesday at noon.
Velasquez, who was born and reared in Northern California, is regarded as one of the finest heavyweight MMA fighters in the history of the sport, and he is now ranked third in the world. The WWE champion defeated everyone from Brock Lesnar to Junior dos Santos during his tenure.
