Bulletproof Backpacks are in high demand after the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas.
Following another school massacre, parents are doing everything they can to keep their children safe, resulting in a surge for bulletproof backpacks.
Mike De Geus, the creator, and CEO of Leatherback Gear is a former Secret Service agent who claims his company’s fortified knapsacks have witnessed an 800 percent increase in sales since Tuesday’s shooting in Uvalde, Texas.
Mike, who served as a Secret Service member and protected past Presidents Trump, Obama, Bush, and Clinton, claims that his company’s backpacks provide the same level of bulletproof protection as his own.
Most of the purchases, we’re informed, are for a $249.99 Sport One Jr. backpack that separates into two sections in seconds, transforming into a bulletproof vest that covers the user’s front and back. According to Mike, the backpack was created with active shooting in mind.
Another bulletproof backpack company Tuffypacks, reports a substantial increase in sales of armor inserts that may be used inside any bag. According to owner Steve Naremore, the products are being distributed all across the country, and sales have increased by 300 percent.
It’s fascinating… TuffyPacks, based in Texas, claims to work with a number of school districts around the country, but not the one in Uvalde, where 19 pupils and two instructors were killed.
What has this world come to? When you have to buy a child bulletproof backpacks to go to school, School is supposed to be a place where children learn, not a place where you have to worry about them getting shot or hurt. This is what parents are dealing with in America, it’s sad but true.
