Trina has lost her mother, brother now niece.
Trina‘s 17-year-old niece was murdered and two others were sent to the hospital early Wednesday after a shooting in a northwest Miami neighborhood.
After midnight, police arrived on the site in the 1300 block of Northwest 62nd Lane and remained there into the early hours of Wednesday.
A girl was located by responding police in Miami with a gunshot wound, and she was declared dead at the scene, according to the Miami Police Department. Family relatives informed NBC 6 that she was a 17-year-old girl who was linked to a well-known South Florida hip-hop artist.
Other gunshot victims were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, but their conditions and names have not been made public as of this morning.
As shown on video, the back glass and many gunshot holes on the side of the Mercedes SUV were evident at the site. The car was taken away from the site.
It’s unclear what sparked the shooting, but authorities say the motive is still under investigation.
